I can't even put into words the despair I feel, watching helplessly as your brothers and sisters are overcome by the forces of nature...

You are all in my heart :(

My first thought was: "I hope it isn't as bad as it looks, and not so many people were killed."

My second thought was: "I hope this doesn't interfere with anime production."

The difference between going to heaven and going to hell is the order of those two. God help you if you thought those both in reverse!

My first thought was the same. My second was thinking about if i know anyone in japan right now, or know personally anyone with relatives. My next thought was how big of an effect it would have on Hawaii and the west coast. Then i started thinking about how it's going to effect economics for Japan, the US, and global economics. Then i started thinking about game developers.

All the while, just the idea of so many people in japan just wiped out, and all the hundreds of thousands, who are losing their home and thousands losing family, is just heartbreaking.

I hope they make another S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series in that irradiated Japanese city. That'd make this all entirely worth it.

Those games kicked ass.

I found out that the people of Konami entertainment are safe. So is Hideo Kojima and the director of tekken. Unfortunately, both of their offices are ruined.

There's more sad news, the creator of hello kitty died in the earthquake.

Actually, both the Hello Kitty creator and Pokemon creator are rumored to have died on twitter, but they're still very much alive. :)

Guys, SERIOUSLY. Every major studio, artist, and production of EVERYTHING is headquartered in Tokyo, where there was practically no damage. The only major casualties and damage were in outlying farming areas around the northeastern coastline and the city of Sendai, which is a Japanese equivilent of a podunk little town in the boonies.

So nobody that YOU would care about has died. It's like if a hurricane hit Florida, and you're worried about polititians who would have been in DC the entire time. Also, haven't you ever heard? Only poor people die in natural disasters. Rich people live forever.

I remember a videogame director saying that everything inside of the company is ruined. If that possibly happened to most companies inside of japan, that can possibly affect the videogame/anime/business industry badly.

Actually there are other major production areas in japan, but yes, most areas effected by the tsunami were small towns.

Also, please less troll at the end of your posts. :)

Lower expectations? I doubt I can lower it anymore than it already is. It's already at "mods don't give a fuck anymore" aka nothing. Can you even have negative expectations? I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but things lately are bordering on the ridiculous.

How about getting new mods that are willing to do it then and replace the ones that obviously gave up doing anything anymore.

Sounds like somebody can't handle freedom. Could you take your whining to some other thread, please? This is where we mourn the passing of thousands upon thousands of innocent life and the destruction of the livelihood of hundreds of thousands more. Summon up what shreds of decency you have left and show some respect.

Oh so spamming and flooding threads with trolling is freedom now eh? People like is why this site is a shit hole now.

I don't see any spam/trolling anyhwere, you're making it sound as if it were occuring every single day, it's not.

I only see arguments and image macros. So stop claiming that this place is a shithole just because you've seen a stupid meme image or a wall of text while fapping.

^this, honestly.

I find it very interesting that people complain about 'omg so much spam, mods don't care', when there's very very little trolling/spam around the site. I honestly have to search for it lately.

The only area with little moderation is /dis/, because i honestly believe that it shouldn't be moderated heavily.

Also, instead of just sitting there complaining about 'omg i saw spam, mods suck', how about actually posting the problem in my reporting thread?

Hey ass hole. I'm poor and live in Florida and would survive a hurricane like a mother fucker. You know why? Because I've got a fully loaded Bug Out Bag and a gun, and I'm getting the fuck out when the hurricanes come.

And then I'm going to go hunt down rich people. Just to prove you wrong.

I don't really know why I made this thread. It's so useless, maybe that's why. I felt so useless at the time. Can't say it's really suprising the direction the replies have taken, but what else can we do but try to laugh?

We're human, no matter how much we hate it.

Humans. The beasts who laugh. Well, what else can you do but laugh? If we didn't I think we'd all be completely insane.
