Well, if my hunch is right I would say the end of the kinky guy arc that was given out later is non-canon and was only made to placate everybody who disliked the drama injection. Now he just proceeds with the canonical story in which apparently Aaron didn't finish kinky guy and the drama continues.

Or something, it's hard to tell with artist types sometimes.
